just arrived at explorer's anchorage

I charged ahead...

reader, I wouldn't bother just yet.

early days I know but as yet, no cartographic data, no pulse wave scanners and no seismic charges so those of us who like our mining with a BANG... not yet.

the basic mining lasers, abrasion ones, limpet gear, class 2 refinery, that's in place,

no repairs either.

oh, the pew pew merchants, theres already conflict zones.

c u in the black people...

I'm there too (not on DW2 roster, Just in the neighborhood). Can't sell Cartographic data, or pick up-drop off passenger missions, or missions in general. No repair, can only buy fuel (which I find amusing) and there's some commodities to buy/sell (which is also amusing if this is the only station/port in this area). And the station looks pretty funky (has a ways to go to get finished to look like a regular starport).

Is this suppose to get better in the coming days? If so I think I'll stay parked for a while and do other things until it's an operational starport..

Hmmm.....Am I the only one who thinks these stations popping up is a bad idea? I can remember the days when you left the bubble that was it until you made it back again (in some case never made it back at all!!). The good old days.....

Meh, the times they are a changin'.

Wouldn't mind getting into good favor with the station (assuming it's permanent), then moving on, have a long ways to go still..

Well, the bubble is the bubble, but having a station here means that people can go further, for longer. Standing on the shoulders of giants.

And as the intention is for explorers to build it, it's not really surprising that there isn't much there right now. I'll be there at some point this week, just detouring near Colonia to finish scanning some systems from a previous journey.

Well there may be no exploration stuff, but it's well stocked with weapons, so you can play pew pew until the exploration part of the exploration station built by explorers specifically to celebrate the dedication of explorers is ready!

The one reason for reaching the Sag A* station early is that you can ship your mining equipment over and thus be ready for the CG that will provide better modules for the station proper.

~72 hours transit time, prices aren't too bad.. 48,328cr to ship a 2F (engineered) pulse laser.. less than 10Kcr for a mining laser.. 72 hours though.. you'd have to be patient :)

seems cheap, maybe prices change when the starport gets a little farther along towards being operational. Maybe hurry before the sale ends (lol)..

You can't sell your combat bonds.....lol

I'.m on the roster but mostly fly open. It is going to get better. Just as a matter of interest I looked at the crime report on galnet....the number four sinner is worth a whole 200cr

Funny thing is, there are CZ zones but you can’t cash in combat bonds because no authority contacts. You also cannot pay any fines so if you get a parking ticket you are locked out of everything except refuel.

True...but was you followed by distant ganks 2? Haven't seen any of that bunch for a while

Having covered themselves in glory, many 'sinners' are now slinking back to the bubble, tails between their legs, overlord agreeably silent. No doubt the great joy of clubbing more seals will draw a few on to BP.

The CG to improve services starts on 7 March and assuming it goes well, station services should be online shortly after it finishes.

Hmm. https://eddb.io/station/outfitting/70700

It *has* weapons available, but I'm not sure I'd describe it as "well stocked". And it does stock the detailed surface scanner, a range of limpets and refineries, cargo racks, AFMUs, fuel scoops, etc. as well. With no shield boosters, hull reinforcements or module reinforcements ... and only a few low-end SCBs ... it's really not a combat-oriented outfitting set. It's a generic low-grade outfitting service, that's all.

There may be CZs, but it'll be interesting to see how long people can last in combat with no restock or repair for eleven thousand lightyears.

Even with ammo synthesis, repair limpets (you'll also have to synthesise the limpets) and an AFMU, you'd better be really good at avoiding module damage or eventually you'll find yourself wishing you'd modded your Power Plant for Armoured.

I am patient. :D Can't be an explorer and not be patient. Besides, there's no guarantee that the station will have everything we need for mining when the CG commences, so I just ship my stuff over from Colonia instead. Sure, it costs a littile, but that way I'm certain to be well-equipped for the CG.

Hell, I wish I had put all my mining gear into storage before leaving the bubble now. I'd be happy to transfer it and wait, but it's all on my Python. :(
