Just been invited to Beta Hydri - should I go?

After killing the General and getting Federal promotion to Petty Officer a new mission has appeared on the BB - I've been granted a permit to Beta Hydri and something about going there. Should I go, or will it be just another wild goose chase?

If you go there you'll find out there is no mission for you, it's just misleading text... You should "accept" that mission though, it will give you the system permit. Even though there's nothing special about the system :)

There's nothing mission specific, but I recommend going if you want to try out a new Federation mission hub. I tried entering USS around 10 times and no fed rank rep ever showed, so I think the mission just staying available is a bug. There's a high tech system very close to it for when you need to update outfitting.

I spent the weekend there running missions and some missions are between the stations in the same system. Good idea to load up on 10-20 of the common mission items and just fly around with those doing the odd pirate combat mission, also helps speed up the pirate missions by making sure they go hostile on you.

Thanks for advice. Took the mission, got the permit, and the t-shirt. Won't bother going there, though.:p

buy gold at beta hydri and sell at iman caber (abut 14.1 ly) then buy domestic appliances and go to LHS 531. At LHS buy consumer tech and back to beta hydri. Unless the markets are saturated you will grind 1,200,000 an hour in a type 6. All the stations are close to the jump point and mostly they have decent populations so they don't degrade. This is the only trading tip ill ever give. your welcome.

And by posting it publicly the route will now be completely oversaturated and useless so thanks for nothing. :)
