Just bought a 32:9 monitor and it's awesome for Elite except for one problem

I picked up a new Samsung CHG90 monitor on a Black Friday sale and I'm loving it for playing Elitte. The only issue is it's made the system map bug way worse. It was bad enough at 21:9, but I could adjust. At 32:9, the mouse pretty much has no relation to the what you select with it except in a very narrow area right at the center of the screen. I'm amazed that Frontier doesn't fix this as wider ratio monitors are getting much more common these days and are a perfect fit for the game.

I did have issues as you state using a controller and or my HOTAS on a 32 inch screen, when I utilized a console. But now that I'm on a pc, I upgraded to a 40 and with the exception of when I use my HOTAS rather than just the mouse, I've not noticed the same issues.

He's talking about the aspect ratio, not display size itself.

The galaxy map does behave progressively weirder the wider the aspect ratio.

Well, a far more important issue is still that Frontier dont gives us a satisfying answer why the lack of support for 32:9 ratio and HDR has not been addressed and solved meanwhile. I mean, since reporting those issues with ED years went and came. We got 2020 meanwhile.

The engine got no issue with 32:9 aspect ratio and UHD resolutions, not even with HDR. But ED does prevent using them by disorting the display on the outter thirds of the screen (wrong aspect ratio result) and no HDR.

Time for Frontier to fix those issues asap.
