I couldn't justify Alpha (but was so tempted) as I have other demands at the moment but I did stretch to Premium Beta so really cannot wait.
I have gone back to Frontier E2 to get my fix and it amazes me how well it still holds up even though by todays standards it is quite limited. I was playing the other night and 4hours passed and I had no idea, would have thought it was 30min.
Nothing else I have played since has had that sense of exploration that E2 had to me.

I have been spending the first hour or so trying to attain control of the ship
I have no joystick. I tried mouse-control but had to let that go.
So I made key-configs as much like the ol' c64 setup as I could remember. This helped a lot.
But I am definitely not in full control yet. So now I have to go get a joystick, thats for sure.
Man, this game is expensive
First I backed it to 1st beta. Then the Alpha videos came out, and I had to try to convince myself, that I could easily wait for the betas.
Which obviously I could not.
And now, for a decent joystick.
Maybe I should have just bought myself a new car, instead??
Nah, space travel is so much more fun ;D
*edit* ..and also, I need a new comp for E : D at least when the betas begin. With my only pc, which is a business laptop, I have to set all video settings on low.

Try again...mouse + keyboard is my preferred option (RAT 7)
