Hi just bought standard beta elite dangerous and then i read minimum system requirements will be a quad core 2ghz,i am running a ivy bridge i3 3240 dual core with 4 threads at 3.4ghz,8gb ram and hd 7770 graphics card,wondering how this will effect playing the game only using dual core cpu?Is the game optimized for quad cores?appreciate any replys on this,happy flying lucky alpha backers.

Can't help you as I'm only pledged to Gamma, but I would be really interested to hear how your machine runs the Beta.
Hopeful that my laptop - i5 3230M (2 Cores/4 Threads 2.8-3.2ghz), 8gb ram, hd 8850m (equivalent to a desktop hd 7750) - will have a decent stab at running Elite. Guessing it should be a bit worse than yours across the board...

These are the specifications for alpha. They said they will improve downward for other versions. Your PC is powerful. You will play without a problem with average settings, in my opinion.
