wow, well considering the size of the game that would be a VERY lonely experience!!! Do you know anything of the history of elite or what the devs talked about during delelopment?

no matter what type of gamer you are in ED, the majority of ships you see in the game will always be AI, unless you only visit CGs, then you get more players......
if you want only human players you need to look at CQC or look elsewhere. ED is primarily based around npcs with the chance of meeting humans if you choose to

Mind you, I can see why you are confused.... so many traditionally single player games, which have had multiplayer bolted on as an "extra" have now largely gone the way of just being a MP arena shooter with a vs npc type game a possible after thought if you are lucky, I guess I can sympathise with your view, even if i do not share it.

This is what sickens me about ED. I don't want to be involved with other players. AT ALL. I'm of the opinion that most players are bad people, and since pirating is a thing here, I don't want anything to do with them
