So i'd gotten about 400k from trading in my little sidewinder with 6 slots, and i thought it was time to buy a ship.

enter the Cobra MkIII.

before i even took off i went to outfitting and bought a class C or B power distributor, and some decent thrusters.

i'm not sure if it's just the power distrubutor, but i can boost to 400 so often i barely drop below it, and i can go into supercruise in 4 seconds

it's so much nicer than the sidewinder it's ridiculous.


so is it just 8000 to replace + modules??

The Cobra is a great all-round ship, and upgrade from a Sidewinder. I still enjoy mine but suggest you upgrade the bays to 16 tons each for some decent hauling to keep upgrading it. Make sure to get a really good FSD to retain your jump range :)

any idea where i can get a better fsd and 16t bays? i only ever see 2t bays for sale and never an fsd.

i also need a better power plant in the 50k-100k range i think, the only one i found was 500k (more than the damn ship)
