Just Curious...

One wonders if any ED players use a flight yoke and rudder pedals to fly around. You know Saitek and CH both make them.

Currently I use a HOTAS T1600M and TWCS throttle to play ED.

How about it. Anyone? If so how's it work for ya.

I have a complete set from Saitek that I used for Flight Simulation: yoke, throttles, pedals, radio etc...
But for Elite I changed completely. I have a Saitek X-55 that I think it's perfect thanks to all the buttons and axes.

Yoke would be nice for SRV operations. Same with pedals.
For flight though.. ehh... joystick is good enough. Yoke would be awkward, since these are vacuum-craft, not air-craft.

I got the pedals because driving the SRV with the twist axis was giving me carpal tunnel. Turns out the pedals make steering easier, partially because they have a longer throw on the axis to tune with.

Yeah.

The yoke is just the motherboard for the throttle quad really.
I don't actually use that bit. And you can't see it really - it's behind the headphones on to of the PC under the desk on the left.

I don't have carpal tunnel, but I like steering with my feet.
It's like a billy-cart, and you can use the stick for pitch and roll still.

CMDR 1000th Monkey has a full steering wheel type rig for the SRV.
