and petitioned it, because i dont want to cheat. hope everyone else does, otherwise there will be a lot more commanders in anacondas soon....


bug experienced (this is no spoiler):

I deleted the description on advice... To make it short. Infinite crédit exploit

i hope FD can track this before this happens more often!

Helpful hint : never post on here how to replicate a bug (tis a big BIG no no in the forum rules)

That being said, quite a few of us have had this tonight, I've logged now until it is fixed as I don't want to be accused of anything.

Hmm....how does this affect those in the race for the prize money, will they be excluded if they use this bug?

We all saw it, I'd already lost roughly 9 mill to it before I used it to break even, then I lost another 3 mill when I next went to trade. Hope it's all fixed tomorrow/today.

Would have been easy to keep it my secret, but i wanted to make it public so that everyone is aware of it, thats fair, and no, i did not abuse it, infinite credits would be a game breaker for me.

I dont think you can replicate the bug just by reopening the market window.

Rule of thumb is 'Never post the details of an exploit' everyone will be onto it now and maybe some of the folks won't be as conscientious as yourself. IS it too late to delete/edit your post?

I hope there isnt a rollback.. FD needs to leave the credits and pilots alone now that the game is "released".. some of us have put in a lot of time tonight without any errors like the above, and we shouldn't loose our work because a few others..

im sure they have a way of seeing these massive credit gains and targeting those people for rollbacks.. or, leave it alone.. honestly.. someone gaining a python tonight when they shouldnt have, doesnt effect me any.. but me loosing credits because he did, sure does

nothing would turn me off this game more then spending nights working towards something, and then having it pulled back when i havent done anything wrong. I get loosing credits if i fly into a wall, or go into a station im wanted.. but to just loose them because others are taking advantage of a system would be annoying...

Well, this would have been real work - compared to the Option of me accepting (which I did not of course) to sell my Shield Generator for a ludicous price :p

I honestly couldn't tell what my correct Credits balance should read after this afternoon. It's somewhere in the ballpark, so much I know - but definitely not the precise and correct amount anymore.

If people did abuse this afternoon's bug, FDev definitely will have to let a Script scan for Credit anomalies and roll those back - there's no other way.
Had I accepted the offer from the outfitting (and if it worked, which I don't know of course), I could have bought a whole fleet of Type-9's or Anacondas :p
(probably would have been enough for a whole station, if one was on sale)

Anyway, this was a bad day for the Servers. Very bad.
I wouldn't mind my Credits/Ship Equipment reset to -12 hours from now, at least then I'd know everything is absolutely correct and I can take it again from there.
I'm almost sure I got a full 264 tons of free Palladium when the issues started, at least it looked like it - minus ~1M Cr for the 4A Fuel Scoop Upgrade that had reverted to the old 4B Model as well.
