Just for fun: If each Continent gets another Animal pack, what would you choose?

Its like the title said, just some fun idear what you guys would like to see to finish of each continent. 35 habitat animals are quite a few, but its all about an ideal fun world :)

Europe:
Starting of, i dont think europe needs much, a red deer and wild boar would be enough but with some creativity its easy to make a nice pack.

- red deer: The majesty of the forrest. Big, beautiful and impressive, they are a core part of our local fauna zoos. Also quite different in looks to all other cervids in the game right now.
Download.jpeg-25.jpg

- wild boar: The biggest, baddest and blackest of all suids. They live pretty much everywhere in Eurasia and would fit both amazingly in european, northern asian, japanese and petting zoo sections. Very usefull and versatile, i would love them in the game.
Download.jpeg-24.jpg

- red fox: the last of the big three european animals, mr world wide would be an amazing addition for the game, as they live everywhere in the northern hemisphere. They are also quite signifcant for many cultures, be it europe, greek or even japanese. Lovely addition.
Download.jpeg-27.jpg

- white stork: the most iconic european bird. They are big, white and fit perfectly as a filler animal like the crane. Closely edged out the other two birds of choice, the mute swan and the western capercaillie simply by having a literally larger presence then the other two and some picks im planning down the line, so he can enjoy his spot in this fictional pack.
Download.jpeg-26.jpg

- beech marten: europe has a bunch of great mustelids, with the polecat being my personal favorite, but the beech marten is the one i would objectivly add. It not only has a respectable captive presents, as a small to medium sized arboreal animal it fits a niche in the game that sadly is quite empty right now.
Download.jpeg-23.jpg

- red squirrel: if we are allready talkimg about aboreal, these guys are just so much fun. I just saw them in my local zoo two days ago and they were the most hyper active little champions, compareable to monkeys in their energy, just even more insane climbers. I would love, love love to see them zipping around a habitat or just simply as free roaming ambient animals.
Of all hard to include animals in the game, these guys have my favor over sloths, gibbons and the like. Call me crazy, but i want my squirrels
Download.jpeg-6.jpg

- chamois: last but not least, we have the chamois to bring ballance to the carnivora vs ungulate representantion. They are lovely little mountain goats with beautiful fur and the namesake if the gemsbock for their similar face painting. They would fit lovely into mountain sections, especally with the ibex.

And thats it for europe. I allready know somethings for the other continents, but i will tell them later.
Cant wait to see what you guys think and wish for :)

Europe: This'll be tough; as an American I never see European animals in zoos. Maybe, uh:
  • Mute Swan: a good all-around waterfowl
  • Mouflon: Always love a good wild sheep
  • White Stork: Kept in US Zoo's Africa-themed areas
  • Western Capercaillie: They look cool
  • Wolverine: A good pan-polar pick (alliteration!)
  • Red Fox: Represents North America and Asia as well.
  • Wild Boar: Represents Asia as well.
  • (E) Common Wall Gecko: Gotta love geckos.
North America: I could probably pick twenty more animals but I'll try to limit it down anyway :p.
  • American Black Bear: Let's work on completing the bears!
  • Bobcat: Sorry, Eurasian Lynx, but I want an American option!
  • Brown Pelican: If possible. If not, a harbor seal is a good maritime rep.
  • Common Raccoon: Used in Europe, very unique.
  • Striped Skunk/Black-Footed Ferret: Another mustelid would be great.
  • North American Porcupine: Porcupine are great, and it's another arboreal species!
  • Caribbean Flamingo/Roseate Spoonbill/Whooping Crane/Sandhill Crane: Let's get at least one bird in the pack.
  • (E) Axolotl: So I can pretend this is isn't as blatantly U.S.-focused as it is.
South/Central America:
  • Maned Wolf: Highly requested, super cool-looking.
  • Golden Lion Tamarin: Monkey #1, very cute and unique.
  • Black Howler: Largest new world monkey, wonderful noises, adds good primate rep.
  • White-Nosed Coati: Also reps North America!
  • Spectacled Bear: Yeah, it's another bear, but I'd like to complete the set.
  • Caribbean Flamingo/Roseate Spoonbill/Scarlet Ibis/Screamer: We need another bird!
  • Linnaeus' Two-Toed Sloth: Only if they could pull it off.
  • (E) Basilisk Lizard/Caiman Lizard/Matamata Turtle: Just give us another aquatic species!
Africa:
  • Red River Hog: A glaring omission thus far.
  • Secretary Bird: Yeah, birds!
  • Mantled Guereza/Allen's Swamp Monkey/Vervet: We need more monkeys!
  • Serval/Caracal: Small cats are sweet, what can I say.
  • Klipspringer/Rock Hyrax/Ratel: What can I say, I love small mammals-- though the honey badger isn't very small...
  • Hamadryas Baboon: We need more monkeys, redux!
  • Scimitar Oryx: Beautiful, helps represent North Africa.
  • (E) Panther Chameleon: For that chameleon rep!
Asia:
  • Sloth Bear: Bears complete!
  • Amur Leopard: No-brainer.
  • Przewalski's Horse: Love this species IRL.
  • Siamang: So many easy picks!
  • Barasingha/Chital/Sika Deer/Blackbuck: Another Asian ungulate would be great.
  • Indian Crested Porcupine: A toss-in for all my old world porcupine fans.
  • Dromedary Camel: A solid MENA pick.
  • (E) Spectacled Cobra: A cobra's another unrepresented archetype of exhibits I'd love to see.
Oceania:
  • Tasmanian Devil: Duh.
  • Short-Beaked Echidna: Duh (2).
  • Common Wombat: This is getting overplayed... duh.
  • Emu: Another no-brainer.
  • Matschie's Tree Kangaroo: So unique!
  • Yellow-Footed Rock Wallaby/Bennet's Wallaby: Both wonderful small macropods; one is very common in American collections, the other very rare.
  • North Island Brown Kiwi: Very cute and another great bird.
  • (E) Tuatara/Bearded Dragon/Frilled Lizard: Lots of good options.

Feeling emboldened to squeeze every possible bird I can out of this game now that the crane is here. I feel less guilty asking for the three remaining bears with this setup compared to any of the more realistic ones I envision (4-7-4 left before the end still strikes me as the most likely outcome)... and also no longer having to allocate valuable slots to the capybara and ASCO helps too. Shame I can't prioritize any more habitat reptiles but 5/6 exhibits being reptiles should help. Could exchange the tamarin for a squirrel monkey but I felt like it would be better optics to not have two animals with "monkey" explicitly in their name in the same pack. After all this, South America and Asia are really the only areas where I'm still unsatisfied with the roster overall. Sure, I could come up with more for North America and Africa as well, but I'd be more or less content with them if we ended up with these lineups.

Edit: oof, forgot the dromedary. Uhhhh... that can be our anniversary animal, because we've been good.

I'm being a bit of a pedant here, but I doubt Planet Zoo defines recent introductions as a species' native range, especially for the purpose of making a regional pack. It would be like including Nile Monitors, Nutria Rats, or Burmese Pythons in an Everglades pack. Plus, the species would likely only accept Asian foliage anyway, so why include it in a Europe pack?

Oh whoops, I forgot the maned wolf when making my list. I knew the SA pack was feeling a bit roomier than usual, even accounting for the capybara being gone. But that's fine, I guess. They're probably the animal with the biggest discrepancy between how much the community at large wants them vs. how much (little) I want them.

These are my choices for an animal pack if each continent (bar Antarctica) were to get a new one:

North America
1. Mountain goat
2. Ocellated turkey
3. Volcano rabbit
4. White nosed coati
5. Black handed spider monkey
6. American black bear
7. Collared peccary

2. Wisent
3. Great white pelican
4. Wild boar
5. Golden jackal
6. European rabbit
7. European wildcat
Exhibit. Eurasian giant mantis

Africa
1. Black rhinoceros
2. South African springhare
3. Golden bellied mangabey
4. Red river hog
5. Fossa
6. Grey crowned crane
7. African spoonbill
Exhibit. Panther chameleon

Asia (focusing entirely on Asia north of the Himalayas)

3. Golden takin
4. Przewalski's horse
5. Bar headed goose
6. Himalayan monal
7. Bactrian wapiti OR goitered gazelle
Exhibit. Central Asian tortoise

I rather them breaking into countries specific. And release animal pack every 2 months.
Sure, that'd be nice. But 42 habitat animals a year would be a huge ask for their team. Plus, beyond India, China, the U.S., Australia, Brazil, and a few other huge or biodiverse countries, how many options are there? And what about countries with one unique species and then a lot of rather boring ones?

Australia 2

Tasmanian devil
Tree kangaroo
Emu
Wombat
Wallaby
Echidna
Kiwi

SA 2

Maned Wolf
Coati
Howler monkey
Spider monkey
Spectacled bear
Ocelot
Vicuña

NA 2

Wolverine
Nine banded armadillo
Walrus
Musk ox
Racoon
Peccary
Sea otter

Asia

Amur leopard
Przewalski horse

Baboon

Africa 2

Porcupine
Red River hog

Giant Eland

This will have a lot of overlap / repetition with other lists I've made recently, but here you go :) This is disregarding potentially expected upcoming packs, such as Drylands, India, Northeast Asia. So these lists would be different if I kept those in mind.

Europe
  • Red deer. LC The king of the European forests, and we already have red deer props in game.
  • Wild boar. LC A staple of European wildlife, but common all over Eurasia and introduced in many other places.
  • Red fox. LC The classic fox to finish the fox roster.
  • Wisent. NT The largest European animal and a conservation success.
  • Red squirrel. LC The game's first squirrel!
  • Mute swan / White stork. LC Iconic birds, but I'm leaning towards the mute swan to give us a completely new type of bird.
  • Mouflon NT / Chamois LC. Another sheep or goat, both beautiful and cute.
North America
  • Raccoon. LC A popular city dweller, the trash panda.
  • Striped skunk. LC Smelly icon.
  • Nine banded armadillo. LC Representing the southern regions of North America.
  • Collared peccary. LC Very common in captivity, looks like a swine but isn't. More representation for southern North America.
  • American black bear. LC The last American bear is finally here.
  • Virginia opossum. LC Taking some cues from other lists above.
  • Roosevelt elk. LC North America finally gets its classic deer.
Asia
  • Przewalski horse. EN Very highly requested.
  • Saiga antelope. CR First Asian antelope!
  • Amur leopard. CR #1 on the meta list right now.
  • Wolverine. LC Highly requested.
  • Lar gibbon. EN Highly requested, though they need to be able to brachiate or else it'll be sad.
  • Golden takin. VU One of the (if not thé?) largest goats in the world! Any takin is good but I chose the prettiest one.
  • Hanuman grey langur. LC A very odd-looking and culturally important Indian monkey.
Africa
  • Black rhinoceros. CR The last rhino to finish the rhino roster, and we already have black rhino props in game.
  • Fossa. VU Highly requested Madagascar predator to finish the Madagascar representation.
  • Red river hog. LC Popular and pretty.
  • African crested porcupine. LC Highly requested.
  • Secretary bird / Grey crowned crane. EN Two beautiful birds, either is good.
  • De Brazzas monkey. LC Any smaller monkey species is ok here though, I picked one at random.
  • Hamadryas baboon. LC Any baboon is ok, but I chose the most popular one.
Oceania
  • Tasmanian devil. EN Very highly requested.
  • Wombat. LC Highly requested cute ground koala.
  • Matschie's tree kangaroo / Goodfellow's tree kangaroo. EN A tree kangaroo cannot be left out, representing New Guinea.
  • Emu. LC Was passed over in favor of the cassowary, and now it's time for the emu to arrive.
  • Bennett's wallaby. LC Any wallaby is good here though. But an Oceania pack NEEDS a wallaby, as they are super common all over the world.
  • North island brown kiwi. VU New Zealand representation.
  • Giant coconut crab. VU Big and colorful and the first habitat arthropod! Representing the small islands in Oceania (Micronesia, Polynesia).
South America
  • Maned wolf. NT Very highly requested.
  • White nosed coati. LC Any coati is ok though. Very common in zoos.
  • West Indian manatee. VU Magnificent animals, I'm sure Frontier can manage them.
  • Black howler monkey. NT Any howler is fine, but a howler monkey needs to be here!
  • Patagonian mara. NT Very common all over the world, and Patagonia representation. Also: super cute.
  • Ocelot. LC The game's first small cat.
  • Southern pudu. NT The world's smallest deer species. Hyper cute.
