Just found out Animals get hungry slower if the Food-Quality is higher

I had a lot of Problems with my Giant Flamingo Lake because the Flamingos where hungry and sometimes even starving. Then I got the Idea to give them better Food and it worked. There wasn't a single food related Problem since I did it. I've fed them with Quality 1 Food because of financial Problems. Hopefully the Group will soon consist of more than 100 Animals again.

I wonder if that's why I've not been encountering the same problems as some players. I only play Sandbox but I always put the food quality up to grade three straight away.

Now I'm not completely sure if it really helps. There are Problems again. Maybe it was for another reason. I think I sadly need to build a new Flamingo-Enclosure that is much smaller. Maybe I still can use the current Enclosure as a Hippo-Pond🤔🦛

Have you tried to place all food items in one place?
So that they are not spread over the whole enclosure, or how does it look with you?

In my large compound enclosure, I have equipped an area with many feeding places.
Because I noticed that the zookeeper keeps walking back and forth.

It does not fill up according to plan, but also likes to walk 5x past a food bowl (toy), no matter how far the path is before it finally fills the one object.
He even broke half of the way to the bowls further back to fill up feeding places near the entrance.
The caregiver ran past the toys beforehand and should only have crossed a bridge.

I was sitting in front of the screen and couldn't believe it.

Isn't that the one who ran, he strolled comfortably to the belly of the dragon ... in the dragon's belly are most feeding places and only a few outside.
Then he turns around at the stomach and returns to the entrance.

Finally he is in the stomach, the first toys are ignored. It goes to one end, then back again.
The 6 toys in between are not filled.

Since I have everything close together (despite the great distance to the zoo entrance), my animals are no longer hungry.
Before, it was sometimes very scarce that they starve.

It is a mixed enclosure with zeras, giraffes and co. All 9 animal species that enrich each other.

The herds are not yet fully used, except for the zebra.

If you haven't done this yet, I would recommend using this strategy.
You can lure the animals to other corners of the enclosure with pure toys, or with sleeping places.

I know the Food-Enrichment-Items should all be near each other but I thought the current Design would look better. I will try if it helps to change it. I hope I will find a efficient way to place them if it doesn't work they will either live in the new Enclosure for African Elephants, a Aquarium-Building with Nile Monitors and Goliath Frogs or a normal Enclosure outside of a Building. I think I will try to change it even before the Elephant-Enclosure is finished. They need to swim very wide if the Enrichment-Item on the left Side is empty

Good luck, I hope it helps.

Maybe the intelligence of the people will be readjusted in the game or that we can create a feeding path for the feeding bowls.
Where the staff have to stick to it.

Perhaps this is also possible with breaks.
Since one of my keepers often overworks while the others are bored.

I really hope the Humans will be more intelligent in the Future. Especially the Guests. Since a Update (don't know when it began) most of them don't walk trough the whole Park and are the whole Time in my Shoppingcenter instead. Then I thought it would be a good Idea to build a second Floor with more Shops but most of them prefer to complain instead of going to a Shop of the same kind that isn't totally overcrowded

Oh yeah. I am too familiar with that.

Or watching animals, although the area is worse than walking 20 meters further. And this terrible fixation on a very specific animal.
The evaluation should at least not be that bad if only one member of the same species is seen.

And the guests should first watch the (desired) animals that are nearby ... and not first walk through the whole zoo and then want to look at an animal that was at the entrance.

It is really very often a back and forth and the walking distances are drawn unnecessarily long.

And the thoughts should also appear more often.

Sometimes I only have one thought, even though the person has already passed two enclosures.

But we have patience (at least we should try to have them) and I trust Frontier that they continue to improve a lot of the game.
