Horizons Just Got Blown Up

Don't know by what. I was just trying to low wake (should have high waked) and boom. I am bored. I have a second account and as soon as I get to a certain point I get bored. So I've decided to take a Sidewinder to triple elite and max out the Fed and Imp ranks in Ironman mode and in open. So its back to Backer's Prospect. If you see a Sidey named Icarus - Wings o7 me or blow me up. Wish me luck ! o7 and fly dangerous.

p.s. I am using any exploit I can so please private message me if you have a good Fed system for ranks or can get me to trade elite sometime in the next 6 years. lol

I guess nobody cares.
That ok, I care.
But your me.
No I'm you.
That's what I said.
shhhhh I think I heard a cricket.
Your shushing yourself.
SHHHH don't interrupt !

Your never gonna make it cmdr. Your a fool.

Well I was hoping for a little...
"you can do it cmdr""
"rep to your for being insane"
"look out for the griefers"
You know that kind of stuff. But its ok. That's me in the corner. That's me in the spotlight.

Ironman is gone. Do I keep going or start over.ummm
cleared the save. Guess I better get combat elite first.

If you carry on, you should have it finished by end of March - just in time for the summer. The record is 5 deaths. It sounds like you have one so far. That means that you must do the rest with 4 deaths or less.

If you got bored in any other ship, I've got a feeling that you're not going to make it in a Sidewinder..

if you do the combat grind first... doesn't that mean that during your explo and trade grinds, every attacker and interdictor you encounter will be elite? (or most of them, anyway)

maybe leave combat until after completing the other two?

Not sure, however this is a real ()itch. I have flown and own all the ships in my other save. The Sidey has only 2 weapons and the shields are like wet paper. I need to time when I attack. It seems the NPC's are a lot stronger then when the game 1st started. I have only made it halfway through mostly harmless when I do something stupid. Usually I pop off on a FDL or this time is was a Python, then I run and try to hide behind security, however those pricks haven't been helping me. This is going to have to be very strategic. I'm open to any ideas. I don't want to spend any time engineering only to get smoked and have that time wasted. Maybe that's the wrong mindset. Weapons are burst or pulse I guess. I can stay and fight without reload. I don't know...o7

You're doing it the hard way. If you wait until the Feds are already shooting the NPCs, you can go nuts shooting them as much as you like, and they never shoot back, i.e. don't shoot them first. There's two exceptions. Anacondas and Gunships sometimes carry SLFs. If you join in with the feds and shoot them, the SLF will get you from behind, so always check those two ships in the sub-targets panel to see if they 're carrying a fighter bay. When you reach dangerous level, some ships will shoot back occasionally. That gradually increases until you reach elite, but it's never enough to kill you as long as you put 4 pips to shields and run away or boost past them. Finally, I only tested all that with pulse lasers. If you use more powerful weapons, it might not be the same.
