I believe he was joking, he is a jester after all.
Could it be related that a huge weapon hit a small ship? I thought larger weapons do more damage against smaller ships because of the damage scale that might exist.

Edit: If you were behind it, do you remember what weapons the Annie had? The vulture has a very weak cockpit and perhaps it could have been blasted by a frag cannon.
was fighting an elite NPC anaconda in my vulture
was going ok, then suddenly my shields went down, and i instantly died. didn't even see the shot that killed me. it was kitted with beams & PA's
wasn't close in (no collission), and wasn't infront of it (so couldn't have used it's plasma accelerators). no other ships and was in deep space (no rocks)
800k buy-back, not too much of a problem...but suspicious the game glitched out, never been killed like that before :-/

Why would you ever shoot the fsd instead of the pp?Try shooting out the FSD on an NPC and watch it jump away anyways. That's not cheating?

Larger weapons do more damage to larger ships. No bonus against smaller ones. And the vulture is a large ship. Also there many be no "huge" ships. So a C1 will do 33% damage against a huge/large ship, 66% against a med. ship, and full against a small ship. A C3 (supposedly) does 100% damage vs. all ships. The rule of thumb was the highest class hardpoint a ship can mount is its size, not the landing pad size. Also this does not apply to shields. So if you have an energy and kinetic mixed loadout put your energy weapons on the small hardpoints and kinetic on the larger ones since energy weapons suffer a penalty to hull damage and kinetic suffer a penalty to shield damage.Could it be related that a huge weapon hit a small ship?
