Just got my hands on the Lakon.

Just got my hands on the Lakon Type 9 Heavy.

They weren't kidding when they said HEAVY!!! Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine it would have this much weight.

I certainly have a lot more respect for Lakon Pilots now. Its just a completely different type of challenge.

Its so heavy I feel tired driving it.

I like that the ships have a different weight and feel, but I'm already missing the agility of the Cobra.

I tried them all and am back in a Cobra now.
I found the anaconda easier than the lakon I must say.
might go back to the anaconda but have to get acquainted to a new Controller first.
better be quick I guess before the next wipe.

Completely agree that Anaconda is easier than Lakon. She is faster, more manoeuvrable and heavier armed, suited for all purposes. Whereas Lakon is purely merchant vessel.

However, out of all current ships I prefer Cobra most of all.

Just picked up my Lakon this morning. It handles very differently than the Cobra/Hauler/SW I'm used to but it's refreshing to have a new challenge. The one thing that's throwing me at the moment is the reversing bug. It caught me coming out of Beagle, after a bit of a fight with the ship I was able to brake out of it no worse for wear. Now Trying to find one of the treads where this bug was discussed.

I imagine its gata be a lot like when I first hopped into a freighter in EvE online. I felt like a space trucker. Hell, even named it the "Heavy Metal Queen", for those of you who know where that came from. Turned it into my mobile base. It was crammed full of every ship I'd ever need, and all the fittings for each and every one of them, and plenty to spare. Pretty cool experience TBH.

Yeah, I know the feeling. Whatever you buy, you always gonna miss the agility of the Cobra. There is nothing faster than that.

That said, the Lakon is cool ship. Like driving a truck, and driving trucks is fun. I enjoyed the Lakon more then the Anaconda.
