Just Had An Odd Thought... (Thargoids)

We (humans, as a race in game), find it incredibly "beyond us" how Thargoids can pull us out of hyperspace, and how Thargoids understanding of hyperspace is so advanced.

Flip the coin, and Thargoids seem to have no understanding of supercruise (yet).

So what do you reckon they think when we low wake on them, and they go sniffing around hyperspace and can't find us anywhere? :p

They hide in the void between the worlds.

Well its kinda like how the storyline goes (or goes once you have read all the notes, not actually played the game since valve didn't so much tell the story through the game... of the Combine in Half Life 2

Kind of like the teleportation technology developed by Humans allowed for teleportation within the same dimension. The combine already had teleportation but it requires the use of the Xen as a mediator dimension, that was disrupted partially due to the events of Half Life 1, making the Combine aware of the Earth and its technology, it thus invades in an attempt to obtain this technology.

Thargoids appear to have basically mastered propulsion allowing them to exist in a stable state in Witchspace and can pin point their emergence into regular space with great accuracy, not requiring the potential well of the heaviest object in a system to stabilize the exit point, something Humans cant do (yet) as such, they do not require super-cruise technology, a Thargoid can theoretically hyperspace jump directly between origin and destination (without all that tedious mucking about ;) )

It's not like that. Supercruise for them is obsolete and outdated. Since they can exit with pin point accuracy where they please, tediously crawling through normal space feels weird. Someone hint Pallin, maybe he could reverse engineer it?

<in system jumps confirmed>
