For tonight anyway.. there have been a few.
I was testing out my DK2 (what do we call it here, OR, Rift, DK2? ) and playing the Wolfpack tutorial. I find it's a good way to test settings etc.
Anyway, I had my canopy shot up and lost the glass.
wow 1 - the atmosphere ejecting from my ship
wow 2 - the silence , suddenly I was hearing my respirator and very little else
wow 3 - I realised that the broken glass was affecting my HUD, and not only that, but the edges of the broken glass were refracting light, it just looked so damn real
wow 4 - Everything!
I just left the battle behind, I had 10 mins left to live and was going to enjoy every second. i headed deeper into the asteroid belt, marvelling at the planet in the distance, sttod up and looked out my cockpit as I flew, skimmed asteroids, dodged between them, took every advantage of my view and the environment and jst kept going 'wow'!
Forgotten and unnoticed were any artifacts of the VR kit... Ii was there, I was running out of air, and it was beautiful. The AI even seemed to realise I was a gonna, he nicked off and played with my wingmen, left me to crash my ship into a rock in the last seconds of my air supply.
