I'm unfriendly with a faction on the system I am trading in but they still let me land and trade at there stations. Is there a way to see when unfriendly becomes something more serious to the point where I am not allowed to land? There doesn't seem to be an indication of when you are getting close to whatever the next negative rep will be.

you can always land, in theory
When your rep goes to hostile their ships will attack you on sight, but you can still request landing permission and dock, if you don't die.
Hostile ships also don't get wanted for shooting you so its a bit of a pain, you either need to kill them ans get a 6000cr bounty, or run away.
