A cobra can outrun anything and still do most missions, including planetary landing and combat. It's a safe ship to be in. Maybe give it a another try in a more nimble ship?? Also if the NPC is smarter, then your internal security NPCs are also smarter. Helping them kill stuff just got easier.

Good luck.

Plus, it's cheap to replace if stuff goes wrong.

No matter what I did to escape he nailed me very quickly and yes I know how to escape I have tried all the tricks but this is the second ship I have lost in an hour.

So given that you tried all the tricks, out of curiosity how many cargo canisters did you drop before you died?

Wish I knew what I was doing to avoid them to give people advice.
Carrying cargo, running missions, doesn't matter. I rarely get interdicted.
Just luck??

I never worked on my combat rating and it's pretty low. I believe that fact and I'm outside the bubble a lot keeps me pretty safe. Still having fun and I'm glad when I do have to fight a NPC it's not a stupid one and it's normally my rank or lower. I have suggested that FD roll back the combat ranking a little for people having issues if they wanted it.

If it serves any good, I stopped playing for about 6 months.

Came back this week. Lost a Python and a Clipper to NPC mobs. (Attacked +++ base solo :D)

Sad but true story. Now I feel like being more careful and dodge the hell out when I see trouble brewing.

While i can sympathize OP, forum rules do not allow goodbye posts. If you want to seek advice about how to deal with the new AI, there is a thread for that.

Locking.
