Totally a frivolous, waste of developer resource, but I have a suggestion:
Can we have a 1 or 2 station sized, porous space rocks in a few of the RES sites or Asteroid Belts? After watching a vid of the trash flying around inside of George Lucas a little bit ago, it got me jonesing for some daredevil tight space maneuvering that really gets your blood pumping. Probably not mineable, just a physical structure that you can fly through.
As a side note, if stations ever become attackable (in an event sort of way) it should totally go down as such:
1. Lots and lots of external fire to bring down the shields
2. Lots of fire to blast open an access port
3. Small pad sized ships must then enter the access port and fly to the power gen to take it out. Would require a number of passes.
If not that, then give me a Death Star trench.
