Horizons Just lodged a ticket

I was hailed by an NPC in an Anaconda, as interdicters do. I managed to get into the mail slot at Danvers station in Nambikuara, where I am allied.
As I proceeded to my pad I was shot-up a bit. (shields down and at 75% hull)
I handed in the missions and left the station. As I left the station I was blown up in approx 1 second (I know it is easy to eggarerate sometimes but I had no time to think and only saw friendly green feds on radar.)

I did mention to support that the Anaconda may have been sitting on the mail slot and blew me up. (Overpowered NPC?)
But I think the station blew me up losing my AspX and 96 units of cargo and commodities.

I have a local bounty of 500cr that I can't pay off. I am Allied and friendly but now I probably can't leave the station or I may be blown up again.
This may be a bug of 2.2, but I'll have to wait till support say something. 72 hours waiting. Gotta play something else or wash the car.

This post is to see if anybody else has similar experiences. (Solo game, remember)

If you had a local bounty and we're scanned by authority ships then it was the station that destroyed you, frankly you were lucky it didn't happen when you docked.

Station weapons received a significant buff with 2.2, literally nothing can survive more than a couple of hits now.

Lesson learned for the future, don't ever try to dock in a system where you are wanted, wait for the bounty to become a fine, then pay it off, either in that system or using "IF" contacts in a low sec system.

I wasn't wanted till I flew out and got blown up.
All I did was take on delivery missions, stacked, got the metals and flew directly back to Danvers Station. No fights, no collisions, no nothing. Just that funny way of being shot at after I had entered the mail slot.

Hmm. The most important question here is - how and when did you get the bounty?

I got the bounty while I was docked in Danvers station I presume. I didn't have it when I arrived to dock.

Just watched Walking dead and a movie. Logged onto support and they have moved response from 72 hours to five days.

I logged into game and wanted word is gone from left lower panel and the bounty is now zero.

What gives? They didn't have time to fix this, so a gremlin got in and fixed it aye?

Maybe it was that Captain Kremmen?[big grin]

Has anybody had a problem like this fix itself?:S

Despite the criticism it has received from hipster apple-pro websites like the verge, I thought episode 1 series 7 of walking dead was really excellent and that Rick finally got taught a proper lesson about effective leadership....;)

On topic: with all respect sounds like it could've been a slight user error? Not sure based on original data but these things usually are?

Okay, here is a bit more to addle your poor brains.

Just did a perfect mission run and no fines noted. Checked the contacts list after landing and had a fine of 500 credits. No bloody user error that time.
I'll ask again, has anybody had an experience like this?

Off topic: I'd like to line those nasties up with a few .50 call noisies!

Actually i did pick up a couple of fines i wasn't sure about last night.

i assumed i'd either bumped someone or been fined for speeding (its hard to tell whats a bug when you fly so carelessly ;)) but i don't remember seeing a fine warning flash up on screen.

i also picked up an assult charge due to sloppy shooting at a highRES, pretty sure i got out without killing anyone but my bounty went up to about 5000CR and is due to last 4 days. I'm sure you could escape with a 400cr fine before 2.2 and it would be gone in minutes.

have the bountys and crime system been toughened up a little like the stations?

We are not being given a message about the fine in these instances.
I have been trying to stay under the 100 klm per second Or is it 100 metres?)
Must test it to see if a fine is issued for slightly over the speed limit.

And I hate the mix of miles and kilometres. Should be one or the others. And what the hell does 1.5C mean as you are slowing up but the speed graph goes up?

Okay. Tested the speed and didn't get a fine. Fines were definitely a bug.

Mike, I brought up a similar question before and was told it was "working as intended". It is possible to have a bounty that you know nothing about until the authority is vaporizing you. The best I've been able to figure is that "dormant" bounties don't consistently show up on your ship's computer, but if an authority vessel scans you, it becomes an "active" bounty and now you are target #1. I'd recommend getting a dash-cam (game recording software) and possibly video editing software (for splicing and shortening video) in order to have these complaints taken seriously. It has changed my game playing experience from care-free fun to constant awareness of my situation.
I suspect that "active" bounties also don't consistently show up but my experience with having an active bounty was bad enough that I don't want to test it for fun.

Interesting. In 2.1, I had a bounty in a system because I did something bad (I attacked a base.. just to see what that was like) and when I left the system the bounty wasn't in my ship computer any more. In the past when I had bounties against me (I think pre-2.1) they would stay in the transactions tab until they reached the end of the timer. Something changed in 2.1 the way they behave and it could have changed again in 2.2.

Better wash the car - for that matter, maybe a few of the neighbors as well.

Response Time : Over 5 Days

I did an overspeed test today to see if that gives you a bounty, but no. Didn't happen.
Afterwards was entering mail slot and here the V* rumble getting louder. As i slipped through the slot a Cobra entered under me at my guess a couple 100 speed.
He wasn't attacked or hailed in anyway.
No doubt about it. FD has re-introduced super NPC's who don't get bountied.

An update on the first post.

I was attacked by, I think an adder. Kept in front of me and fired missiles into my windshield one per second. I took about ten as I tried to bolt but no good.
I logged. I hate doing that, but I will when some NPC seems super dooper.
I re-entered, and got to the station. Stopped, looked around. He was way over there. (finger point) then disappeared. (No high wake sig) He had actually un-spawned and re-spawned at the ring of the station behind me as I was looking (Over there).
I turned around and he was sitting on the mail slot.
Similar to what I believed to be the case in first post.
I thought B****** you and I rammed him. He lost his shield. I got fined. He took a shot at me. Station blew him up. I got a 71,000 bounty. (Even though I didn't deploy)
Do unto others as they do unto you.

This may be nothing, but I was flying my Buluga two nights ago.

I would swear it sounded as if I hit something as I went towards the slot, and I got a verbal from the station telling me to fly with care, like it does when you knock another ship.

There was nothing on the scanner, or visible, I was not fined, and was traveling at 70, so not speeding.

But it did feel the ship acted like it had hit another ship to me.

I have no proof of this in any way though.

Could it be there are ghost ships out there causing the station to think you have rammed them and thus get shot??

That's why you obey speed limits. Right on, commander.
Was it in Open in a busy area?
First thing that comes to mind are ram-griefers. They buy a Sidewinder or an Eagle, take it down to several % of hull and then go around stations with silent running, ramming people who are speeding. Their death then results in immediate execution of the commander they've rammed, usually in an expensive ship. Naturally you are safe from them if you're not speeding.

I tested the speed limit and wasn't fined. I didn't want to do more that 150 at the time. I wonder what would happen if you slammed through the slot at 400. (apart from bouncing around like a pinball:D)

Oops! Just hit boost as entering mail slot. Told to slow down. No fines, no bullets!

You won't get fined for speeding itself. (although guys over at the STC tower definitely won't be happy about it)
The problems start when you are speeding and hit another ship - you will get fined for that. And if that ship dies, you'll get a bounty and three seconds of life to say "Damn", before dying of a lead overdose.

So if there are too many ships around and/or you don't have 100% control over your ship (And especially if there are other commanders in the area) - the speed limit is a great thing.

Some time ago, before the latest update, I put in a ticket regarding a bounty that appeared and disappeared and restarted a new 7 day run, bounty hunters were getting annoying. Support removed the offending bounty and it never came back. I had captures of the bounty appearing and disappearing in the bug report. So this "there it is, then it isn't" has happened before.
