Just made Pioneer!

Yeah, i know, others have made Elite, but i've been exploring pretty consistently since Gamma (and not done anything like grinded neutron fields) so really happy to finally get there. Also in the top 5% for the communty goal, although i'm aware of a number of commanders who plan to come back for the end of it with a lot more data than i dumped there, so i might lose my spot.

Did a 7000LY journey outwards, probably close to 20000LY in total distance travelled. Will probably post screenshots tomorrow.

My Orca didn't let me down once, and mother nature was kind, and returned with zero damage.

Had over 50% wear and tear, but didn't repair. Its time to put The Bang Bus to rest for a while, i've got plans now for powerplay before I head off into the black again, so bought myself a Sidewinder to set those plans in motion.

Congratulations! As odd as it sounds; I was thinking about you earlier. No, I'm not a stalker; I was listening to Rumours in the car with my better half and I thought "Ah yes, there's a chap on the forum with the album cover as his avatar!" :D

Congrats OP.

Same here. I made Pioneer this weekend at 59,500,000 and will start Powerplay after the CG finishes. Been warming up the FA-off skills with seeker missiles. Turns out very few people carry ECM :D

Hmm.. most carry point defense don't they though? I thought that was kind of the reason nobody used ECMs, because point defense is automatic and more reliable.

Congratulations to you OP, and congratulations to me, just made pioneer myself.

One odd thing though ...

I decided to celebrate by upgrading to a 'pioneer' decal on my ship, but the the decal is labelled as 'Exploration-Starblazer'.
It also looks exactly the same as the ranger decal.

Not a big deal, just .. odd.
