Just ordered the tobii eyex

just got my tobii eyex. Found out the hard way like the new oculus it does not work with asmedia usb 3.0, so for anyone that looking into tobii eyex make sure your not running asmedia as usb 3.0. I had to order a usb 3.0 pci-e card which should be in the next few days. It requires USB 3 or will it work with USB 2?
it requires USB 3.0
I have not tried Track IR. but it works really nice and natural plus I don't have to turn and twist my head for tracking.
I've been using Ed- tracker.
The Tobii Eye Tracker follows your eye movement, it feels far more natural, for me at least.
Installation and callibration is very easy, only problem I had was with it working correct in E: D
Had to rename “Custom.1.8.binds” to “Custom.0.8.binds” and now it works flawless

I am very interested in this as have been using Track IR since,, well I got version 3 so over ten years probably and this looks as if it could be better. Is there any fps loss when using it... ? Do you have to re-centre it at all during play at all ? What happens when you get up to take a pee make a cuppa etc, do you have to re-centre when you come back ?
There is no fps loss with this.
It doesn't need to be re-centered, and works fine even if you move position. If you get up and then come back to your seat later, but in a slightly different position, the Eye Tracker will have no problem with this at all. It understands where your eyes are in relation to the screen and knows when you are looking at the center of the screen.
All-in-all it is great, but doesn't work with Horizons just yet (but that shouldn't be too long now).

Just had to to Rename “Custom.1.8.binds” to “Custom.0.8.binds” or as I used Herman-Special.binds ;P ==> Custom.0.8.binds

Can't wait to see that video. It sucked trying to stream it well I was sick with this cold.
How does it work in a dark environment? And when you are tired?
I see that they recommend placing it in a flat surface under the monitor. My monitor base is rounded, and I don't have space in front of it. So would it work as well over the monitor? Can imagine it could have problems with the lids there. If it has to be under the monitor, is it heavy? I could always velcro it under the monitor frame...

it works really well under dark environment, because it uses IR cameras. If your very tired and your nodding off to sleep you should take a break. I uses it when tired and still works. You place it on the flat surface just at the edge where the frame meets the display part of your screen. it does not work if you place it above your monitor. it's very light in weight.
