I bought the game in 2015, but they told me it was for Horizons pre orders or something, before some date that I missed... I'd need to check the ticket. They said "Nope" to me! Maybe, in Odyssey, you'll be able to break into a Base "Barn" and find an old rusty one, do a frame off restore, with OG Azure. Parts must be hard to come by though.

How the heck did you score horizons for free in 2017? But yeah, you had to have purchased horizons by February 2016 to get cobra mkIV entitlement.

I'm on PC and purchased on 18 January 2016 (I just went back and looked up the email). I can't believe I never realized I could buy it. Literally five years in the game and didn't realize this.

So, OP, did you at any time in that five year period, post a forum thread, wanting a ship you thought you could never have or chastizing those who had one?

No clue, that was a long time ago. Ha! I didn't realize, that was paid DLC? Hmm. Didn't score my Cobra though. Not that I would even want one except to just say "I have one!" Which, I don't I'd be on the lookout for Odyssey One Time things like this Cobra. If you're a collector, they are probably going to have some Special early access item(s), I would think.

Just found purchase order. I bought Horizons in June of 2016, for $30. The purchase order thing is some glitch or whatever. Looks like I waited a bit to actually download it.

"Boomaya" was my first CMDR name. Had it switched to Red House several months ago. And let me tell you... they WILL NOT, PERIOD, END OF CONVERSAVTION... change it again! I wanted to switch to CMDR Crock O'dile, and they told me Never Going to Happen, unless I delete and start a new CMDR. Which would be an insane to grind back to where I am at.

As in, 20 minutes ago I realized this. I bought the game in January 2016 and all this time I thought the MkIV was only for kickstarter people. I guess I've never bought a ship at a station that sold it and noticed it before. Crazy.

Now you too can experience for yourself the slightly disappointing experience that is the cobra mkIV
