If you're serious, I hope you've ticketted the bejaysis out of it- as that's a bit worrying. I don't want to scare you- but you might just be an NPC.
Its all gone a matrix all of a sudden.
That brings up an interesting question... If an NPC becomes self aware, would the game treat it as an actual life form and display it on the scanners as a 'real' person? /ponder
Open is faulty?
It's just your mind playing tricks on you. This game does that when you've spent many consecutive hours in space. For example, I swear I keep hearing a male voice screaming in my ship.
That's just the guy that fell asleep in the cargo bay at the last station. Happened to another guy a few days ago on Earth too.

Hard to believe, isn't it? I think the OP's solo instance adopted some of the pirates our wing was trying to find the other night.
Beware! You've stumbled onto the terrible secret of Elite Dangerous Solo Mode - that in fact the only things they change are:
