Just some quick feedback based on initial impressions 87 minute in

im finding the game hard. im supposed to unlock things by getting stars up on the first island, i spend money on premium edition but even to play the sandbox (which i assumed would disable achievments) i have to play the story?

when i began, got to one star easy. so i started to try build visitor facilities while i had money and... dropped to a fraction of the visitor numbers and less than a quarter star. it seems visitors want to slum it.

im not complaining about the learning curve of a difficult game, but to be honest, im not terribly interested in the game campaign, or even achievements. i just want to have a big island, where i can build an ecology, and drop dinosaurs in it and watch what happens, maybe manage that. visitors are a distraction i dont enjoy, but necessary in the campaign to earn money.

how come the sandbox mode has to be unlocked? thats one question.

i also got a contract for taking a photo and zero clues how to do that. there is no option for me to tell rangers ot go get a photo of a drinking triceratops. im obviously supposed to psychichally know how to do that.

my initial impressions therefore are this (and this is the problem i forsee and why i felt it would be useful to make this post): buys game, finds even the tutorial island unintuitive to play, and hard to guess how to do things, the rating of your park goes down too easily and up very slowly, for a tutorial, and is required to unlock even the sandbox where you can just play around with no worry about a story?
if i was a more casual player (and i am a fairly casual player though i play a lot of time in games) i would say 'too hard, no fun, cant even play in sandbox with all the content, wheres my refund?

and thats got me wondering if frontier gets told by steam its having refunds a lot for this game. if so, maybe some more hints on the tutorial, or at the least a change to unlock the sandbox (but disable achievements or whatever it is you have decided to lock it way for) would prevent some refunds. I considered it, just like i considered using someone elses saves from the nexus mod site, just to unlock the sandbox. i decided to stick with it, because elite dangerous i got addicted to mining for high value minerals in ice rings. there is nothing quite like the thrill after hours of searching a hot spot for high yield asteroids! maybe there is some secret to this if i just find it the game will get addictive, or at least enough to unlock the sandbox so i dont need to worry about money or visitors.

im aware maybe universal might have said 'we dont want easy unlocked sandbox we want a game with a story like the movies' or whatever, but it might be worth asking them to reconsider if thats an issue.

in summary, this post is primarily aimed at the devs, btw, and i am not expecting and probably wont reply to any replies from others. having seen other forums on other games im well aware some will start sneering at me for my feedback and telling me 'git gud' (like they should learn to spell first). i dont intend to feed trolls, just point out the first impressions of this game could be better, and an unlocked sandbox from the start might prevent impulse refunds, and may cause people to say instead 'okay the story is too hard right now, but the sandbox is open, so lets go practise and do the story later'.
 
oh additionally, add in the menu option task to tell rangers 'we need a photo of drinking (dinosaur type) for marketing, go take one' pls, or add in a step by step tutorial where to and how to find that option pls?
