Hardware & Technical Just took delivery of my 1440p screen...

Hold off buying for now. Apparently there are some IPS based gaming screens in the works (120hz, low response time etc). If not there are sure to be some cheaper 1440 TN ones to rival Asus. The ROG swift should be half the price it's being listed at really.

Just in case nobody has mentioned it yet, but the QNIX QX2710 Evolution II is excellent. The color quality is amazing (with correct profiles for the respective refresh rate). The only downside is that you'll have a few dead pixels but they are really hard to see and for the price of about 300€ it's more than ok.

I have two now. One is overclockable to 120hz, the other to 96hz. Couldn't be happier.

Well I couldn't wait any longer, had the same pc and monitor for 7 years, built myself a pc about 2 months ago and had followed Rog swift for sometime, I just wasn't ready for the price tag.

Bad points for the Rog Swift = Over Priced by 100 pounds

Good Points = Nice resolution to game with. very fluid in fps games, seems so quick to respond, very happy with how this monitor has changed the look and feel of my gaming.

For instance Metro 2033 looks jaw dropping, from my old Samsung, which btw was my favorite monitor,(226bw) up until now :)
