Just wanted to say a big "THANK YOU"

The recent livestream by Bo and Sam checked off one of the biggest boxes from my personal Wish List for Planet Coaster: Custom Biomes. Now we can truly emulate those parks which feature multiple (faux) biomes, such as Disney's Animal Kingdom (Expedition Everest) which before now would have been impossible. The fact you made such an effort even after saying the engine didn't seem to allow for such an ability speaks volumes; you really are listening to the community and are focused on making Planet Coaster the best and most complete park sim it can be! Kudos guys, and THANK YOU for making this happen!!! :)

Just an FYI: custom biomes will also work on past Sandbox and Challenge save files! Andrew Chappell worked a lot of magic on that one.

I really have to +1 this :)

Ever since the release of the game this has been requested a lot :) (myself included)

It's so amazing we can now have a "Big Thunder Mountain" area without being bound to the dessert map. Also will this prevent the use of 1001 rocks to simulate a dessert area :D
I really didn't saw this one comming and because of that the surprise was all the better! It will broaden the creativity to an all new level again :D

Last but not least a massive thank you to Frontier and Andrew in particular for really caring about what your fans are thinking [happy]

Agreed! Now if Frontier can finally fix the coaster banking issue that has been in the game since forever that would be great. [downcast]

Yeah, coasters suck pretty hard in this game. I mean, they look absolutely stunning, but it doesn't matter how good the assets are if we cannot make coaster behave like real coasters.

And look at this, one of the most beautiful coasters I have ever seen (Mack hyper):

True. With the fundamentals of the coaster builder is nothing wrong - but it is like you pointed out many times impossible to make smooth coasters which is a real shame.

Yeah I actually think the coaster builder is pretty good, except for this one obvious flaw.

It's like if you had a racing game, and the cars are all extremely detailed, it has amazing sounds, amazing roads and amazing AI to race against. There is just one tiny issue: you can't steer the cars. It doesn't matter how much the roads, cars or AI will improve in this game, as long as the cars cant steer the racing will suck.

Same with the coaster builder. They can add all coasters they want to it, it won't improve the coaster aspect of the game one bit.

Agreed. But in this update we also saw that Frontier REALLY listens, so I'm almost 100% sure that a continuous roll option will ever come to the game.

True. And they didn't say it's not going to happen like they did with glass objects, dual coaster stations and dx12. Still, they are awfully silent about it. [tongue]
 
Yup. I agree... Frontier, you are the BOMB!!! I know you face a LOT of feedback, and you take it with such grace and patience and thoughtfulness. I sometimes look at these forums and wonder if you guys ever get sick of the constant requests (my own included!). But you keep on delivering things that we ask for to the best of your ability.

The game already is just so groundbreakingly fantastic (even if we sometimes forget that) and it's so great to see you so invested in making it even better. [up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up][up]
 
Frontier deserve all the praise they get, the game has already come along way since release (Early Bird). I have made myself a promise to play more of this wonderful game (I have still not finished the original scenarios) let alone played with the additional content.
