Yes, I see the pixels, yes it's not perfect, but the feeling of being in the ship is so overwhelming that it overcomes everything else.
In any case, I just ordered a 1080 ti

I just got mine, I would bump it up to medium VR. Low is pretty bad. Wait until you fly a Keelback, Asp or one of the Type (6,7,9) transport ships in an asteroid field... AMAZING!

The point here is that no monitor, however good, can give eye convergence and 3d view. This totally changes the game.

Agreed. It's a game changer. I just took the plunge, my two lads were sceptics, both of them were blown away. Nausea is a problem though in some situations, so I am not going to be able to play for long periods, but when I can its just an amazing experience.

I'm also a new Elite:Oculus initiate and it is absolutely amazing.

I specifically purchased the Oculus for this game, and it is over the top fantastic. I have never had motion sickness in my life, apparently immune to it despite my best efforts, so I've been having a blast. I just finished a 4 hour session and WOW!

I will never play on a monitor again. I need to be IN my ship.
