Jutter all of a sudden

Playing for a couple hours with rift, everything working fine, at the time, settings at .65 and 1.75 supersampling. Tried bumping to .65 and 2.00 ss, and immediately I'm losing frames, it's a constant jitter to the whole screen...

So I swap back down to 1.75, fire it back up, and all of a sudden now I'm seeing that jitter the same way I did at higher. CPU and GPU were never capped so I'm not sure what's going on. I'd read that ss mostly hits the gpu so I was increasing it until GPU usage was mostly being used, but even at 1.75 I was around 60-70%. Any ideas what could be causing issues? GPU and CPU both set to Max performance.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Someone else will chime in with the data, but I thought the consensus was to leave SS alone for the most part. You don't say what your GPU is but try SS x1 and HMDq x1.5

It depends on your graphics card. Although I found out myself that ED is extremely tricky when it comes to VR. Settings that work today might not work so good tomorrow.
I use a rift with an OC 2080, oc i7 8700k and have ss to 1 and hmd to 1.25, everything else to max and i get constant 90 most of the time. Though some days it deeps in the 80s when at engineer bases, that does make it unplayable because of all the jittering that comes with that.
Anyway do try to set ss to 1 and hmd to 1.25 and start from there.
