I think his "assumption" -at least as I understand it- was perfectly reasonable, and I think the level of hostility here was... unexpected.

Most steam users still play in 1080p. I am using a 1080p monitor. Most people are not using 4k. At least not on PC. They might be for consoles. If you like playing games at 4k and 30 fps.

Dunno why most only upload in 1080p in 2021. Thats not just simply showing a video but ok i didnt wanted to be rude. just saying not everyone has a new 4k tv now a days that has nothing to do with beeing bored if u cant handle people disagre with you u should stay out.
