I posted here, because I was thinking that anyone looking in the JWE forums, probably has the game already. Anyone not currently owning the game, might be more likely to look here in Off Topic. I am happy for you to move this thread to any section you deem appropriate.

However, as I explained, anyone who doesn't already own the game (including me) will not be looking in the JWE section of the forum, and as such, a thread trying to bring to their attention a discount on the game, will be missed by them and therefore, by extension, lost income for Frontier. This is why I specifically posted in the "Games By Frontier Developments" section.
By saying "I am happy for you to move this thread to any section you deem appropriate" is NOT asking the thread to be moved It is merely saying "I leave the decision in your hands".
I again, leave this to your discretion, but I feel the thread would be better served in the "Games By Frontier Developments" section where it was, but that is my opinion, and not a request.

It's moved back if that is where you would like it to be. Elite Dangerous members are the most active in the Off Topic forums and is unlikely to be seen by anyone looking to purchase the game.
There may be people looking to purchase it or know someone who might want it and its unlikely they will come to the Off topic section to look for this information. I'll leave it at that.

Do you feel all of the threads saying Elite is on discount, or free on Epic, should have also been posted in the OT section rather than the Elite section?

It's slightly different, because there are advantages to owning multiple copies of E: D. You get a new commander slot, which lets you experience the early game again (the best part IMO) without sacrificing all your hard work. So that's useful info for both new & existing players.
I already purchased JWE at full price not long after it came out. So, for me, there's not much point in owning it twice. E: D being on discount... well, I have seven copies and let's leave it at that shall we?
