We didn't play much, just got to the point we release a triceratops. Spent like maybe 1h or 2h moving around, watching the island, the details on the buildings etc.. We were not in a rush so we will take it easy. Made a lot of pauses while my daughter and I discussed the goals and troubles of a theme park and tricks and tips for this particular kind.
The voiceover, help messages, UI and navigation, it all made a very good overall experience. She didn't watch any gameplay videos but she was still able to place a viewing gallery and connect it to the power. I noticed how she was discovering the dino stats, figuring out what the comfort is, how food works etc.. these things everybody 'knows' because they watched someone else's vids.
We will probably let it rest a few days while talk about it and sit down during the weekend with plenty of popcorn to enjoy a long session.
