JWE SoundTrack

Anyone knows how a game soundtrack works? Do they have their own composer or simply add in existing scores?

Either way, I wish Michael Giacchino can be included in some ways. Although John William's score is iconic, I actually prefer the feeling that Michael imposes.

This one is pretty nice too -

Any news on JWE soundtrack?

I hope it is John Willams, I didn't really like the JW soundtrack at all. John Williams is a legand.

Many games have their own dedicated composer, often even some of the bigger names in the industry like Bear McCreary with the new GoW. With this game, they could simply reuse the existing material and may just do that, but I would guess they have their own composer. Likely the guy who made that video, or is he just some fill in to do some demos? Not sure.

Either way, I hope I'm not shattering your dreams: it's not gonna be John Williams. That would be fantastic, but he's too busy with doing movies and probably way to expensive for Frontier. Same with Giacchino, although I would consider it a little more realistic than John Williams.

It's probably gonna be a guy who we never heard of. But as long as that person delivers a faithful score I don't mind. I'm not so worried about the composer. I hope that they're actually spending some money on the music and get a proper orchestra with at least 40ish pieces or something. It should sound like the movies, after all.

As for JW vs. MG...John Williams no contest!

JW's soundtrack wasn't good at all, the official titles were so cheezy it hurts. There is no suspense, just loud blaring music. The only good track was "The Park is Closed" which sounds like it was integrated to the demo.

My personal theory, inspired by what others have said, is that JWE's soundtrack will be a mixture of all the movies. You'll likely have the familar bits, along with some semi-familar stuff from TLW (Don't know if JP3 stands out, havent listen to it). But JW has some recognizable tracks.

Just look at the soundtrack for JPOG, very reminisant of the movies, while being able to be original

It would be a cool idea to have Michael Giacchino compose the soundtrack for Jurassic World Evolution, especially considering how he has composed the scores for Jurassic World, Fallen Kingdom and even The Lost World: Jurassic Park video game. But unfortunately I doubt it will be possible, it could potentially take up too much time and Giacchino is working on multiple scores for many films this year. Thus, Frontier Developments more likely use their in-house team of composers.

But considering how this is a Jurassic World game, it’s possible that these composers will have been inspired and, as a result, have made soundtracks based on Giacchino's excellent work for the films; e.g. ‘As the Jurassic World Turns’, ‘Isla Nublar We There Yet’, ‘The Hammond Lab Overture’ and ‘It’s A Small Jurassic World‘. Other features from the movie's soundtrack that would be a great addition for the game would be the themes for the animals such as the Indominus theme, Raptor theme and InGen theme.

My personal favorites are:-

"Nine to Survival Jobs"
"As the Jurassic World Turns"
"Growl and Make Up"
"The Park is Closed"
"Gyrosphere of Influence"

All they would have to do is give us the tracks from JP and TLW. They could mix them maybe or play around with them. But the music for the game already exists in the original movies. They just have to use it. I didn't care for Jurassic World. The music they used in the movie was ok. But JP has the best soundtrack ever. People still remember it 25 years later. It's on the same level as Star Wars and the Terminator movies. 100% great and 100% memorable.

I believe the guy who did the music in the video submitted it to Frontier but he wasn't chosen. It's ok but I think Frontier could do better. It sounds too much like something you would hear in JPOG. This game needs to have better in game music than JPOG.
