JWE Trailer vs actual Gameplay

Hey Folks,

I'm sure you can help me out on this one.

Why does the original trailer we saw here [video=youtube;NWagBjDMwTU]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWagBjDMwTU[/video] looks so different than the actual gameplay?

Some of the things the announcement-trailer implied:

other fences than we see now
destructable Jeeps
eatable Workers
Workers work outside the Jeep and repair "manually" the fence (which I like a lot more than the automatic repair we obviously have now)
other landscape
etc

If I recall right I read somewhere that the announcement trailer was done by another company or something like that?

Would be nice if you guys can help me out and maybe other people are interessted in that topic too..

It's just a trailer, don't take advertising too seriously. It also has a "pre rendered footage" tag which means it's not pretending to be in game footage.

Yes the announcement trailer from JWE was done by a third party.
What we see was maybe what they wanted in the game at first but later on decided against it.
Anyway the trailer was made at a time when they didn't have a entire park to manage and probably found out later that micromanaging the jeeps would be a nightmare.

It looks so different simply because of what type of trailer it is. CGI trailers will inherently look different compared to a gameplay trailer. Because it's done by a third party, as they often are, many attributes aren't necessarily reflective of the game itself. That's why you'll often see comments for a gameplay trailer. A lot of what we see in the CGI trailer is made to look really good and appealing, and because it's not more complex, like a video game, it can do that.

With any CGI trailer, you gotta remember the real game won't be like what you see, if it's like it in any capacity.

To add to what blubbit said, I also like to point out that the announcement trailer is 8 months or so old and was made to create interest in the game.
This trailer is the pre-order trailer this one is made from game play footage:

Pretty much what everyone else said. Most games have a trailer that isn't actual gameplay but a teaser. Think of it like a movie trailer where they film scenes just to put in it to get your intrest.

Yes...it's good for immersion.

In addition it is dangerous, we should wait until the person leaves the fence and goes back in the jeep.

It will be just like in the movies JURASSIC PARK / JURASSIC WORLD just like in the trailer of JURASSIC WORLD EVOLUTION and just like in Reality. A lot of people mention it and what i believe will make Jurassic World EVOLUTION a real game.

1.The repair team ..for example the fence , I notice that when repairing it , its done in a blink of an eye .. I would like ( THREE WORKERS IN THE RANGER JEEP , instead of two ) And see all three of them get off the jeep ( one as a scout and two repair men to fix the fence , when refilling the feeders or when treating a dinosaur ) and repair it for real like its Shown in the Trailer of JWE , were the T-Rex breaks through the fence and the employs run scared for there life , like when constructing a building or just like in all the movies. And depending on the weight of the damage , it will take time to repair the damage , making it more dangerous for the workers and more chances for the dinosaurs '' TO FIND A WAY '' if you know what I mean...

2.Ranger animations.
This is a BIG WISH
Please have the rangers actually do things rather than just sit in the jeep. I want to see them drive the jeep, stop the jeep, GET OUT of the jeep and physically work on what is required e.g. Replenishing feeders, fixing/maintaining fences, examining sick/injured dinosaurs like DR.HARDING IN THE FIRST FILM!!!! C'mon guys this should be a must have, I don't like the look of just driving to said issue, clicking a button and *Bing* good as new.

Around 3:35 he mentions , "Lack of Physical Reality to Park Workers" .

This is what JURASSIC PARK / WORLD movies and games are all about , MANAGEMENT.
The Suspense , The Danger , Getting Worried , Afraid and Taking Care of my Employs and Visitors , Keeping an Eye on Them.
To See Them at Work , Having a Meaning and NOT ( Like Ghost that have Telepathic Powers or can Resist a Nuclear Bomb/Explosion ).
If we can't Manage our Employs than it's like it's on Autopilot and that dose't feel right for Jurassic World or Management game.
Anything less then that is going to be '' A WALK IN THE PARK ''.

Please Take This Into Consideration.

This has been an issue with video games for decades. Since they were first on the market. They would show a really cool looking box art and the actual game would be nothing like it. Maybe a few things would be the same, very minor things. The trailer isn't far off. There will be Dinosaurs, it will be in a park setting, people will be involved and the Dinosaurs will break out. Also there will be plenty of action and chaos. It's an advertisement, the same way food in the McDonalds commercials or in pictures doesn't look as good as it does when you actually get it. It's supposed to entice you to buy the game, to get your attention. As I said before it's a bit of false advertising. I remember going into stores to buy games for my NES, SNES and Genesis and the advertisement artwork was always exciting and the game was not much like it.
