I think that we should have a custom hybrid option in JWE3. In example, pick two dinosaur species and fuse them, you can choose traits, appearance (with some limits, of course, but you can choose any existing species for it's appearance as well), carnivore or herbivore and paddock needs. You should also be able to fuse many different species into super-hybrids. The ability to fuse creatures like fliers and marine creatures and land with flying or marine.

The concept, while interesting, sounds incredibly dubious... creating an adequate appearance customizer alone, I imagine would be nightmarish at best...

No, it was pretty clear what you were suggesting... a system that let's you mix various body parts that blend seamlessly together and animate naturally, regardless of whatever possible combinations they may create.
