PLANETARY BEAUTY
"To see is to believe."
Leaving Sol, we wave "good bye" to some of the planets we pass by as we build FTL speed.
Saturn:

Uranus:

... and as we near our solar system's borders, we also say "good bye" to airless planets this time...

... as our focus will be on all those beautiful, yet unappreciated planets that most of us do not bat an eye during our busy, daily schedule.
Like when presenting cosmic wonders to tourists' eager eyes:

Now that we've left secure space, let's open our eyes to witness what's right under our noses.
Tranquility.

An ice world so cold its own hurricanes got frozen:

Somewhere above galactic disk, silence:

Parked around ammonia world, gazing down upon continents:

Yet another planet...

... that can be appreciated.

Interesting atmosphere color.

Eternal night.

We're allowing this one to pass our QA due to recent progress in planetary surface imaging.

The cloud formation near the center of the photo clearly loved Anaconda's shape.

Surface details up close were better than quick glance at system map could foretaste.

Lone lake.

Orbital sunset.

Orbital sunset 2.

Orbital sunset 3.

Companion.

We've heard "just another ice world" cliche before. We disagree.

Atop galactic disk.

Far-away colony has grown.

Water world near Crab Nebula. Imagine the view at night...

Cosmic fruit!

Atmospheric scattering is by far our favorite.

Terminator.

Water worlds are in the top of your picks, every time.

Lone wanderer.

Double volcano...

... close up.

Earth-like worlds are by far our favorites.

Vanilla ice cream, anyone?

Despite lack of features, some planets generate outstanding depth feeling due to atmosphere's thickness, thanks to which a sense of distance is much better than with airless planets.

Some surfaces are born more equal than others.

Shadow of doubt.

Wonderful atmosphere.

... and another atmosphere - green one.

Sea of time.

Ice-cold.

Water world near Pleiades Nebula.

Farscape clouds.

Xenon atmosphere (at least we think it is xenon, our photographer didn't check).

Coast of cold.

Good night, colony!

This one was named "Chickenhead Lake" and we've claimed it as our base of operations. Our main office is where the chicken's eye can be seen.

50 shades of ice.

Towards California!

Melting surface near crater.

Short break during our photoshoot trip.

Beyond horizons. (pun definitely intended)

Swirling ice.

Cosmic strawberry with cream!

Good night, another colony!

Infinite wrinkles of wrinklessness.

Different skies.

Thank your for viewing!

All images (and a few more that didn't pass final QA run!) can be found in full size in our online cosmic photography catalogue:

We hope we've managed to convince you the surrounding world can be a beautiful place to be, and as a result - you'll be more inclined to stop for a moment at low orbit, put your thrusters in neutral and gaze upon hundreds of kilometers of continental details right below.
Stay tuned for more themed galleries coming in the future!
