Kamikaze Security Anaconda?

I just got rammed and wasted by a Federal Security Service Anaconda. See here:

Looks like the Anaconda was trying to ram the Fer-de-Lance. Why would he even try that?? Looks way too agressive and reckless for a "security service". :eek: I don't get this AI sometimes.

I lost like 5 mills of bounty vouchers with that.

Man you are asking for trouble in a RES with 48% hull, no shields, and fighting a FDL WOW rep to you!......or do you not care?

I wouldn't care about getting killed by an enemy in such a situation. I mean it would be my fault completely and I would deal with it. But is much more funny to stay in there as long as you can :D But most of time the FDLs won't get any more shots at me... they're just not manouverable enough for a vulture. What does bother me though is that I died to a "friendly" in such a situation.

It is not the first time that I get rammed by a security service. Most of them are anacondas. Sometimes it might be my fault for coming too close to them, but here you could acutally see it on the radar going in a straight line for the FDL no matter what is in the way. I mean why would FD program them like this??

Asteroids, other ships and you admitting that this is not the first time you have been hit, makes me think you should have known you where asking for trouble. Fun as it may be for you, but i would have bugged out till at least i had shields up again, then you would have survived a hit (Possibly).

NPC's, i presume do not have enough AI to 100% look out for other ships friendly or not, that's why you often see them smashing into droids so often in a RES!

This has happened to me too. Except i was in the Anaconda and a security viper went full on kamikaze into the belly of my ship I couldn't even see it. I was moving in a straight line and the viper smashed into me, popped, and EVERY security vessel in the area came after me. It sucked, and now my 0 lifelong bounty stats is soiled...

It's not nearly as bad a the rebuy cost and lose of hours of bounty hunting. Annoying non the less. These suicidal AI actions really suck.

I had an NPC ram me at a HiRES the other night, he bounced off me, exploded, and I got a murder bounty (6k). Almost as laughable as the NPCs who seem to think they can fly through asteroids.

Been rammed way too many times by NPC condas to say this is unusual.....strange, yes. But sadly more normal than is comfortable. I generally chalk it up to the ship wanted to bring to bear a large fixed weapon requiring pointing at me in a pass then no not being able to pull out of a game of chicken. I just hard thruster and rotate out of the axis hoping to glance away in time to hook around after a 5 count to catch their belly abeam with rails.
