Keel back Fighter Bay

So I bought the new keel back for 3.1 Mil after reading that it could hold a fighter bay. I cannot seem to find one in the internal compartments section. Is this me being foolish and not being in the right solar system, if so we're should I go? Or has it not been added yet in the 1.5 update, if so does anyone know when it is out?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't even think the Keelback does that in the current release of Horizons yet.

No platform (Xbox/PC/Mac) has any sort of fighter launch bay implemented. Sadly it's only flavor text for the ship description. It doesn't mean anything until FDev builds that functionality. The closest anywhere is SRV bays for PC Horizons players.

Actually even after horizons that bay is useless. In time, some time this season we will have launch able ships, some may not be exclusive to fighters. But that is not in horizons 2.0. Currently only a few ships have this bay. And before anyone says it, no the conda doesn't have this bay, ships I am aware of with it are as follows..

FGS, first ship to have this bay version 1.4
Corvette-version 1.5
Keelback- version 1.5

This bay will not arrive on all ships, and in the live streamed they talked about possible integrations, how it could be useful in and out of combat. And they said only med to large. But not all they would consider if it needs and why..

No ships have it yet. But the corvette, Cutter and Anaconda have all been confirmed to get hangars for launching ships in the future. Corvette and cutter will get two each. Likewise the Fgs and Keelback seem like they will get it too. Though probably a smaller version sidewinder / eagle / condor / imperial fighter only. While things like the conda Corvette and cutter will likely be able to launch some of the larger small ships.

No ships can launch yes correct but the above three ships...( as I said ) have the bays.... And ONLY those three
.. Not sure what is difficult about this

My advise to you, and anyone else.... Watch the live stream. You will not be launching current ships from any of the ships. They will be specifically designed ships for this purpose. Never did they say we would launch a sidewinder from a conda, that has always been a rumor. Though the condor was shown on a vid, and may appear as launch able, but that also is subject to change, who knows.

What I was trying to say that it's not only those three. Cutter and Anaconda will be able to carry a hangar to launch ships just like the damned Corvette. And the Cutter & Corvette will likely be able to carry 2 each. Why would they put it in the flavour text for all 3 and only actually give one of them the ability?

Though, If you can only launch a Condor or Imperial Fighter. Or something equally tiny, squishy and useless deploying a fighter will instantly lose it's appeal for me. You've seen the AI Condors and Imperial fighters right? They die in about 2 seconds to anything that fires at them

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I understand that while it would be useless launching a condor or imperial fighter from a fighting bay I got the keel back because it's the cheapest ship I know that does it and I wanted to trial it out before I got the cutter. I have done some digging and like some of you said it is horizons an it is released later (post Christmas maybe?) and it isn't on Xbox yet so I may have to wait for that. As to the size of the ship I've heard speculation it's up to a sidewinder so possibly every ship in CQC but I'm really hoping it's anything that uses a small landing bay at space ports (imperial courier could then be docked onboard) other than that thank you for input

They'll be fun canyon-running though, or attacking ground turrets and drones which interstellar ships can't engage
