Keeper not feeding starving animals

I have a small Flamingo habitat with just 4 flamingos - all of whom are starving. The keeper goes there, takes a look and reports they aren't hungry. I have the same thing going on with my Wild Dogs. I hired a second keeper for the work zone, just in case but they don't seem to recognize the starving animals. What am I missing?

psst! you can't post these pictures! those animals are from a mod, and modded pictures aren't allowed in the forum :(

To address your question, I don't know what would fix this issue; I've had the same thing happen to my lemurs. I couldn't fix it, either... good luck finding a solution!

Ok, pics removed. Dang though, I really wasn't expecting to have this problem. My zoo isn't that big but the game is freezing now and then too. I have a very high-end PC and a fiber Internet connection. These problems aren't on my end.

I’ve had the same thing with some grizzlies in the past. I did every possible “try turning it off and back on” fix I could think of. New keepers, new food enrichment items, new work zones, moving the grizzlies into a different habitat… nothing would make the keepers budge. It was on sandbox so thankfully it didn’t really matter… but I did hate seeing the notification that they were starving, so I ended up routinely deleting and re-placing the fish ice block food enrichment each time they were getting hungry since it starts out full.

I only play in sandbox too. I just moved all starving animals to quarantine. That stopped the starving. They are back in their habitats now. I guess I'll just have to see what happens.

Deleted the "mod" flamingos and replaced with Greater Flamingos. Reopened the zoo. In the time it took to eat my dinner all the wild dogs and flamingos are starving again. I guess this zoo is finished :(

Edited to add - hmmm maybe mods aren't always safe. I had no problems with any animals before adding the modded flamingos. I took many saves on this zoo. I'm going back to a save before the flamingos just to see if it makes a difference.

Update - removing the modded flamingos seems to have fixed the problem. The wild dogs are fine again. No more starving animal problems. I'm going to keep playing this zoo from here and see how it goes.

I don't use mods and I have the same issue crop up. Sometimes assigned keepers just wander in, look at the starving animals and think: 'This is fine!'
Non-assigned keepers don't feed em either. Not sure what the problem is or what the fix was...At some point it just started working again.

That's not good news, Sclurp. I don't want to have to worry about this happening again. Well, maybe next time I will just let it happen. Nothing will actually change as I have all the settings so everyone is always happy - animals and guests. I just have that annoying warning message constantly popping up in red.

The game randomly freezes up on me too. Do you ever have that problem? It lasts about 10-20 seconds. Sounds play but all animation is frozen and I can't do anything. Then it just resumes perfectly as if nothing happened. I have pretty much a super-computer on a fiber connection, it's not lag. It runs perfectly other than the freezing. Is this normal? My zoo isn't very big, I'm just getting started really.
