Roller Coasters "Keltica" - Tales of the Highlands

Hello PlancoFam [heart]

"Keltica" - Tales from the Highlands is my entry for the 4th /r/PlanetCoaster Contest. In the Theme Voting Thread, the highest-voted entry, submitted by /u/rapid666, was to build a realistic coaster!

I decided to enter the Contest way to late and this project was rushed within 16 hours. That's why a lot of things are still unfinished. I wanted to try my luck because the Coaster itself is finished.

You should give the entries a closer look. They are amazing: https://www.reddit.com/r/PlanetCoaster/comments/6j8xus/rplanetcoaster_contest_voting_thread/

I decided to try some Terraforming with this project and here is what I came up with.

If you want to take a look at it here is the Workshop Link. Please be aware that this is not a Blueprint! You may not be able to place it anywhere in your Park.

Here is a little POV to give you a better feel of it.

I hope you enjoyed my little project and as always I am happy to get feedback [yesnod]

Have fun playing!

I love the realism in this one. No everlasting track, some nice scenery but certainly not over the top. Even the custom fences are so ordinary you barely notice them, which means they're awesomely designed. :D

Thank you so much! This is such a nice compliment [happy]

That's a very fun ride with pretty scenery, and I also liked the soundtrack of the video.

But you know, really and truly, there are neither very many castles nor natural trees in the highlands (although they've taken to planting tree farms for wood products lately :)).

Everyone knows that! [where is it] That is the reason the Coaster is called "Tales" of the Highlands... because erm... because... yeah because its an old Highlandish Tree Tale! duh you didn't kow that did you? [knockout]

Hahaha thanks Bullethead I honestly was running out of time for this and desperately needed a Theme. Took the first that came to mind [squeeeeee]

LOL! Yeah, I guess I have heard that tale. It was told out on the island of Lewis & Harris., In that place, they have to build the rafters of their roofs out of whatever wood and whale bones wash up on the beach because there are no trees at all. And because all wood is reserved for building roofs (walls are mode of the local rock), they have no firewood whatsoever, so are reduced to heating their homes by burning the very ground (peat) they walk on, that makes way more smoke than heat. But hey, at least they have good whisky (which has a strong taste of peat smoke) :D.

Anyway, on that island, they have legends of a paradise where there are so many trees, you can burn as many as you need for firewood and still have enough to make roofs and whisky. Problem is, to get there, you need enough spare wood to build a boat, which of course is impossible :)

Or so it seemed to me. Of course, the tale was told in Gaelic, which I don't speak at all. But it was accompanied by much whisky, in which i'm fluent. It's a universal translator. Or at least it seems so at the time :D.
