Key bindings automatically reset itself?

So I was at a space station stocking up on ammo just before I headed back to a warzone. I took off as normal and checked my Navigation screen using the UI focus button to see my destination. For whatever, my hardpoints activated at this moment whilst I was pressing the button. One of my lasers fired and... well, yeah, you can probably imagine the result. Annoyingly, I lost all my bounties and my combat bonds, plus all missions I was running at the time, but luckily I had enough credits in reserve to pay my insurance three times over. My UI focus button has swapped itself with the primary fire button, my boost has disappeared, various keys do things despite not being bound to the action etc. In order to make sure it's not an issue with my joystick simply resetting itself for whatever reason, has anyone else had a similar problem?

i had my thrust up keybind suddenly stop working trying to launch within the last hour, and i've just had an issue with not being able to scan discovered stellar objects since that dodgy launch and a crash due to my net going down for a couple of minutes.
just done a full reboot and going to log back in to see if it's started to play nice again.
