Key bindings for kill warrent scanner/ hatch bracker control

Hi I am having trouble getting the kill warrent scanner to work and also the hatch breaker limbit control, help.

I've never used the latter but for the KWS I tend to put it on my secondary fire button in a fire group with lasers as primary. That way I can shoot the Wanted ship whilst waiting for the KWS to finish. Just need to hold fire for the smaller ships otherwise they blow up too quickly. For the larger ships I change fire group after the scan so that the KWS changes to my other weapon(s).

I saw a video posted on here the other day where someone has the KWS as primary, and only switches it to weapons once the KWS has finished. I think the secondary was left as D-scanner, iirc.

You have to be within range before the KWS will begin its scan, and you have to keep your finger on the 'trigger' until it has finished, although slight gaps when the target ship wanders out of the targeting area are okay, as long as you don't take your finger off the button.

It is bugged at present, in the sense that the HUD does not always update itself, but the sounds tell you when it is scanning and when it has finished. Once it has finished do not scan again, as it can negate the first scan (another bug), but checking your side panel will show you this. This is easier to see if in an Anarchy system, as any bounty from the KWS scan will go back to zero. In a non-anarchy system you would have to know the before & after-initial-scan values to know whether you need to rescan the ship. Yep, it's a pain, and I kick myself every time I forget to swap fire groups after the initial scan.

Didn't realise there was a key for warrant scanner. Thought you put it (and the hatch breaker) on primary or secondary fire controls?
