Key bindings randomly getting wiped ?

Has anyone encountered this ?

I've had it happen twice now, log in and everything seems fine as I navigate menus, but as soon as I launch from dock I find that nothing works (or worse, it does but not in the way you expect)
I go into the Options_Controls menu and find none of my custom keys have been retained.
I've lost a ship because of it so far as it crashed in station.

Yep, had the same happen to me last night and saw it once before during beta, control config still says "Custom" but it has reverted to stock bindings.
There's an earlier post (I'd link the post but as a new user apparently I am not allowed to) pointing people to backing up their bindings file.
Should be able to find it here: C:\Users\<your_user_name>\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings\

in beta if you unplugged your joystick then launched the game, all custom bindings would be lost.

I can also confirm this is still happening; although I did re-plug the x52, I did not enter the game at all. When I did, all those hours of setup time gone. So I'll spend the next hour setting the HOTAS up again, instead of playing the game. Its the fourth or fifth time I've had to do this since beta, and it's infuriating.

It appears that the control bindings are somehow related to the USB port, but I can't think why.

we really really need to able to save and load our control bindings (without manually copying the folder).

This is still an issue, if a device that has been bound is not plugged in at game launch then bindings for all controllers are lost. I created a request ticket early last week asking for save-able bindings; game really needs that.

For the time being your only option is to copy your bindings file as weaselfest mentioned.

I haven't had this issue yet (only in some of the earlier beta wipes) but I always backup my configs just in case.

I would advise running the game as administrator. Perhaps this will solve the issue.

Have this issue with the panel switching, it goes to the left panel and next click center, then third click it exits (missing the right hand panel), a quick restart of the launcher fixes this but it also seems to happen sometimes after a SC or a jump to a new system, very odd.

my stick is thrustmaster-x hotas only had this problem since 1.02-3 but its still present.
