Keybindings - What's special about the letter D?!

Today I again tried to set up some power curves for my Thrustmaster joystick using TARGET.
Unlike previous attempts I actually got quite close this time.

The only issue I have was the letter D.

In TARGET I bound a hat switch UP to the letter D...F, G and H were down, left and right.
In ED bindings I bound the letter D to be the "UI Panel Up"...and F, G and H to UI Panel Down, Left and Right.
Everything worked apart from the hat switch UP (Letter D) actually went right in the ED menus/panels.

I came to the conclusion that the TARGET software was to blame.

Closed TARGET completely, closed ED.
Re-launched ED. Went to Controls and selected the Empty profile. Saved.
By default the Up, Down, Left and Right arrow keys navigate through menus...and the letter D navigates right...!!!
Then bound D to UI Panel Up. Saved. Still the same, letter D goes right!

I have no third party software running on my machine.

Two things came from this:

1. I cannot bind the letter D to anything as it always seems to be bound to right regardless of what I bind it to in ED controls.
2. When selecting ann Empty profile and saving during trouble shooting the D issue ED wiped my custom bindings profile that I spent 2 hrs settings up. On a scale of 1 to hopping mad I am at the higher end :(

Head on over to Bug Reports and post this there.
We don’t need to discuss it.
Helpful post of the day :)
I would like to know if anyone else had this issue and if there is a work around...or in fact if it's a bug. I only log bugs with FD when I know they are bugs as to not waste their time ;)
