Keybinds for launching fighters

It would be rather nice to have a keybinding for launching fighters, going into the bottom helm/crew/fighter panel, especially when it doesn't always retain its position is somewhat problematic. I think it would be a great quality of life change, as for some ships they're rather important, especially when seconds matter. Thank you for all your hard work.
 
I wouldn't mind to have this. Although it would be more buttons that you'd expect:
  • launch key A launches fighter from bay 1 with NPC as pilot
  • launch key B launches fighter from bay 2 with NPC as pilot
  • launch key C launches fighter from bay 1 with player as pilot.
  • launch key D launches fighter from bay 2 with player as pilot.

I guess that's why we still have to click ourselves through the menus there. But having those keys would be very convenient and nice to have. :)
 
They have the ability to set hotkeys for every fighter order (which I have actually bound to a hat switch). I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be possible to have binds for launching them.
 
Launching yourself in a fighter breaks the flow anyway and is in less need of such a quick key. Just keys for launching the AI pilot would be enough. I have set my controls in such way that it doesn't autofocus on the panel and have made working macros on voice attack demo version that I sometimes use. It is indeed much more convenient to launch the fighters without having to look at the stupid panel in middle of the fight.
 
That would be key G8 for me (Logitech G13 programmable gamepad). Have had it set up since Fighters were released. Terribly handy.
