Keyboard Controls

I am wondering (I have looked about/searched the forums but can find no specific confirmation), will ED support the old keyboard play style of the first Elite?

I have never used joysticks (no intention of starting now) and 'flying' with a mouse as the controller sucks space dust IMO. Mouse is fine for the likes of Rift, WoW, Guildwars etc . . . I have also never used the likes of an x-box controller.

I hope I will be able play ED the old school way?! I still have an almost genetic memory using the keyboard controls.

Hi, I've been playing Elite Dangerous with keyboard only and had some good success.

I've played with a basic free ship with only pulse lasers and fought my way all the way to getting my first cobra just using the keyboard. So don't worry too much about other controllers. Just map your keys right for you.
