Is it possible to use a keyboard and having more shortcut buttons via keyboard? Would be helpful with all the controls and options the game provide you with. If not, why is it not implemented yet and can Frontier do this please?

Can Frontier consider this please? It shouldn't be that hard to implement it because a keyboard can already be used for the in-gamechat and, as you said, text input.
Nope even with Microsoft and Razer forcing money Down developer throats to support keyboards, devs are refusing to add keyboard remapping to games...
And that was YEARS after other platforms had it set by default supporting keyboards in the SDK and were not sat on their back side like other dev are ..
That free money to support the official keyboard... Bribes and kick backs still fail to get it added to many games...

It would be nice but all it does is let your type faster. You should consider getting an Elite V2 controller. I have a V1 and the paddles let you keybind modifiers that normally arent easy or possible. (Ex: B+X or RS+A) the V2 let's you bind one of the paddles as the shift key and theoretically should open up an additional modifier.
Consider using ABXY as shift keys. There are fourteen possible shift combinations for a total of 140 possible binds. You can have everything bound without a keyboard. For example:
A+left nav panel
A+B+left target subsystem
A+B+X+left target wing man
