Keyboard Mouse and Joystick errors in Qdyssey

I know this is a strange one for you guys but you all may now whats going on. Before I installed Odyssey everything worked perfectly. I had Mouse, Keyboard, and also my Thrustmaster T-Flight worked, however now nothing is working and I am stuck with a game I cannot play.

If I knew this was going to happen I wouldn't have spent out for the game until this error was fixed.

Now all I did was update the game so I could play Odyssey. I had been playing Horizons as normal without any problems with the mouse, keyboard or the thrustmater as i said before, but since the update nothing is working, and even Horizons has crashed. I have no idea as to what is going on. Horizons if visable in minimized window but will not go into full screen, and Odyssey will not allow me to use keyboard or mouse let alone the joystick to move around.

Has anybody got any clue to this bug?

First backup your bindings. You may have to redo your bindings for odyssey, they changed. Not sure about horizons, still, sounds like it could be an issue with the config file.

OK fixed the Odyssey problem. I didn't notice the green Virtual sandbox window around the screen. As it was running in full screen, which i never have run the game, I didn't see the green lines. I found then by chance when I checked it.

Virtual Mod is good when not wanting things to run online just in case they are unsafe, but it shouldn't have affected Horizons in any way. Going to test Horizons and see if thats still broken.

lost your binds? want hasstle free backed up binds look no further

keybindings can reset if you visit the control section without one of your usual devices used to play the game ie hotas , xbox pad etc not plugged in or at that present moment is undetected by windows as it thinks your just using keyboard and mouse it simply rewrites your binds for you...

the above guide is for hor 3.0 binds
and the exact same method can be used for odd version 4.0.binds and its new dvided x4 start.preset file
as they are both kept in the same dir
so my odd bind is now called for eg PUPPYDOG CONTROL4.0.binds
and inside its start preset it reads...………………..
PUPPYDOG CONTROL
PUPPYDOG CONTROL
PUPPYDOG CONTROL
PUPPYDOG CONTROL
which should make sense once the above linked guide is read and understood

OK Fixed the issues. Because the New install had effectively changed all settings for the game it meant that I had to reset all of the settings through the firewall. As it turned Elite into Sandbox mode I couldn't use mouse or keyboard. I haven't tested the Joystick on ground yet, which does not seem to work for me yet, but it works on mouse for not.

Will test out joystick after I sleep.
