Every once in a while my keyboard stops working. This is unique to Elite Dangerous. The spacebar W Q E A S D keys fail to respond. The only keys that work is Cntl Alt Delete to bring up the task manager so I can shut down Elite. This happened 2 time in about 20 minutes. It is not a faulty keyboard. Nothing else I do does not effect the keyboard with the exception of Elite. Any one else have this happen? It happens about 50% of my Elite sessions.

speculation suggestions
if your keyboard has any extra button software running like logitec software temp disable or uninstall it
ensure you pc is set to max power settings in your pc control panel (elite is ultra sensitive to keyboard volts drop it seems)
if usb try different ports and try unplugging any unnecessar devices
monitor your psu in bios settings check for volts drop or spiking
after all that though could be a bug I don't know about...………………………...
I use bog standard cream 30 year old ps/2 plug keyboard myself no problems here found it in a skip lol

Same here. I use an X52 Pro and a Logitech K400 wireless keyboard that needs its own "Logitech-Unifying" receiver plugged into another USB3 port. (Haven't tried another keyboard though...)
CTRL-ALT-DEL or ALT-TAB still works when it happens but I discovered magic "healing" when using the HOTAS as a substitute: usually I press the j key to enter or exit supercruise but the same function is on a button of the stick as well. After dropping out of supercruise using the button of the stick the keyboard works like before.
Also, Voice Attack / HCS Voice Pack is configured. Maybe the problem is the HCS Binds?

I just started having this issue the other day. I found that for me, I started typing in the in-game chat, even though it was hidden away.
