Kickstarter and Elite 4

Gutting, though if I had a KS that was £15 short, I'd be on the phone to a family member or a friend offering them the £15 to finish it. That was a bit silly....

If it really was that much short, I'd pledge more immediately and thus be one of The Ones who pushed it over the line; to be fair The Ones would probably include the majority of this forum. We are after all, The Elite. :D

As part of the Elite then it's our duty, as one single-minded voice, scream at FD to pull their fingers out their rear ...

Community engagement in a roughly 30 day period...
Frontier Development @ Elite: Dangerous (8 updates, 142 comments)
Obsidian Entertainment @ Project Eternity (34 updates, 2246 comments)
Cloud Imperium Games @ Star Citizen (52 updates, 908 comments)
The last 2 smashed their goals ... do you think we will ?

One more comment ..
If you remove all the actual gameplay video from Roberts SC campaign, you still have far more community engagement, effective promotion, focused pitch work, regular lore updates, and general KS content than Elite. This is my gripe, and I think most people's... not that Elite does not have a ton of in game footage, but that DB/FD are not trying very hard to engage the community, or promote their project. When fans resort to hopes that there is a "secret plan" just around the corner that will revitalize the project, something is very, very wrong.

It's not about making the goal .. it's about smashing it to ensure that the newest Elite can be better than even DB dreamt it could be .. more craft (15 is good and that's what we will get; 30 is better; 150 is jaw dropping; procedurally generated with Dev manipulation and therefore infinite - mind blowing!); a rich lore filled universe teaming with life so that the single players regularily check their internet connection to remind themselves they're not connected :D

... you get the idea.
